Strength & Durability Assessment of Bevel Gears

• An accurate FEA for a quantitative understanding of high strength steel gear tooth contact behaviour under load

• Damage and fatigue life prediction based on stress-time history

Heavy Duty Mooring Chain in Offshore

• Stress analysis under proof load conditions

• FEA for mean load conditions (tension, bending) considering residual stresses from proof loading

• Assessment of out-of-plane bending (OPB) behavior and fatigue risks near contact points, influencing design and ensuring mooring integrity

Adhesive Selection for Tooth-Veneer Bonding

• Estimatie of fracture resistance of tooth-veneer setup bonded with different types of adhesives.

• XFEM technique (to simulate cracking) and adhesive debonding behavior

• Correlation of FEA results with test with 5%-12% difference
